The meeting of the Clinton School Board was called to order by Mr. Mickey Parish, Board President, at 6:00 p.m.

Those Board members present for the meeting were: Dr. Kyle Hensley, Mr. Billy Tomlinson, Mr. Richard McCormac, Mr. Mickey Parish, Dr. Ben Mays, and Mr. Randy McCaslin. Mr. Steve Smith arrived at 6:02 p.m.

Dr. Kyle Hensley motioned to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held on February 17, 2003, as presented. Mr. Billy Tomlinson seconded the motion and it passed unanimously (6 - 0).

Mr. Billy Tomlinson motioned to approve the financial report as presented. Mr. Randy McCaslin seconded the motion and it passed unanimously (7 - 0).

A certificate of completion was presented to Mr. Richard McCormac for completing the mandated 6 hours of in-service training with the Arkansas School Boards Association, in the school laws of Arkansas and the duties and responsibilities of Arkansas school board members.

Mrs. Deb Swink was present at the meeting to discuss the sliver grants that have been awarded to the Clinton School School District during the 2002-03 school year. She also asked permission to apply for a 2003 Second Round Sliver Grant (Assistive Technology Grant). Dr. Ben Mays motioned to award Mrs. Deb Swink the permission to apply for the Assistive Technology Grant. Mr. Billy Tomlinson seconded the motion and it passed unanimously (7 - 0).

Dr. Kyle Hensley motioned to approve the revised computer use policy. Mr. Randy McCaslin seconded the motion and it passed unanimously (7 - 0).

Mr. Randy McCaslin motioned to accept the recommended 2003-2004 school calendar.

Mr. Richard McCormac seconded the motion and it passed unanimously (7 - 0).

The Board entered executive session at 6:35 p.m. to discuss personnel. The Board exited executive session at 7:07 p.m.

Mr. Billy Tomlinson motioned to employ the recommended certified staff for the 2003-2004 school year. Dr. Kyle Hensley seconded the motion and it passed unanimously (6 - 0). Dr. Ben Mays asked to recluse from voting.

Mr. Randy McCaslin motioned to employ Mary Allison as a social worker for the remainder of the 2002-2003 school year (pending passing criminal background check as required by law). Mr. Richard McCormac seconded the motion and it passed unanimously (7 - 0).

Mr. Steve Smith motioned to adjourn at 7:16 p.m. Mr. Richard McCormac seconded the motion and it passed unanimously (7 - 0).
