Text Box: Michael Wells has over 10 years teaching experience in Arkansas public and private schools including Clinton, Jacksonville, Pulaski Academy, Batesville, and Hoxie.  During his time at each school, both his marching and concert bands have received highest honors including 8 ASBOA Sweepstakes awards. Mr. Wells is a 1992 graduate of Sylvan Hills High School where he was a two year Arkansas All-State musician.  He earned his Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Central Arkansas is 1997 and his Masters in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University in 2007. In 2004, he was awarded the Phi Beta Mu Arkansas Outstanding Young Band Director award.  This was followed in 2006 by the American School Band Directors Association Outstanding Young Band Director Award for Arkansas.  Mr. Wells resides in Conway, AR with daughter Taryn and his wife Marcy who is also a band director in Greenbrier.  He remains an active musician by performing professionally with the Pine Bluff Symphony Orchestra and the Jazz Xtreme Big Band.
